GEORGE is a really attractive horse with plenty of bone and the very best of Irish Draught bloodlines. His sire Embla George has proved to be a very popular stallion covering an average of 90 mares per season and is an exceptionally good hunter, carrying the Huntsman for the Albrighton Hounds on numerous occasions. His dam is by the great Colman (sire of Snowford Stoker) and is herself a very useful hunter/jumper.
George was shown twice in hand as a youngster and won on both occasions:
1st Yearling Colt and Reserve Champion (Youngstock)
Irish Draught Breed Show 1991
1st 2 year old Colt
Irish Draught Breed Show 1992
George has proved to have an exceptionally bold jump, consistently placed BSJA and having qualified for the regional finals over the last two seasons. He is a perfect gentleman under tack, both at home and on the hunting field where he really excels.
George gives a balanced, forward going ride and is very light on his feet with good natural paces.
George has already covered advanced eventers and several owners booked their mares straight back to him having seen the foals on the ground.
The Irish Draught / Thoroughbred has for generations been the most popular cross for competition horses and hunters alike and the modern lighter type draught is an athlete in its own right.
George is an ideal sire for competition horses and will be of special interest to the owners of TB/ lightweight mares.
