HEALTH & SAFETY
The organisers have taken all reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent Accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the organisers and stewards.
SHOW CONDITIONS
1. ENTRIES ARE ON THE DAY.
2. No entry will be accepted without the correct entry fee. Phone entries will be accepted with card payment only.
3. Entry fees cannot be refunded without a Vet or Doctor's certificate.
4. The organisers reserve the right to refuse any entry or amend the schedule, including alterations to prize money.
5. Overa Farm Stud shall not be liable for any claim in respect of damage, loss, injury or accident to any person, horse or property howsoever caused in connection with or arising out of this show. It shall be deemed a condition of entry that each entrant shall agree to indemnify Overa Farm Stud or any person acting on their behalf against any legal action arising from such an incident.
6. The judge's decision is final. Any objections must be made in writing to the Show Secretary within 30mins. of the cause and be accompanied by a deposit of £10.00 refundable only if the objection is sustained.
7. When mounted, riders MUST wear protective headgear BS EN 1384 , PAS015 or ASTM F1163 which includes a retaining harness secured to the shell at more than two points & securely fastened.
8. We recommend that Riders wear BACK PROTECTORS in all classes.
9. Show Jumping Classes will be judged according to the rules laid down by the B.S.J.A. (See Rules Book)
10. Correct dress must be worn in the rings and whilst walking the course.
11. No person shall allow a stallion for which he/she is responsible as owner, lessee, authorised agent or rider to compete or be prepared to compete, in any competitions without taking adequate precautions to ensure that other members of the public are not put at risk of injury. Stallions and Colts may not be ridden or led by children 14 years and under.
12. Any horse / pony, which might kick MUST wear a Red Ribbon on its tail.
13. All horses / ponies MUST be 4 years old or over to compete, unless otherwise stated in the schedule.
14. Children's age to be taken as at date of show.
15. No trotting or Cantering in public areas - only in “working in” arenas. Tethering is not allowed.
16. Stirrups must be “run up” or “crossed over” the saddle when the rider is not mounted.
17. Bicycles, Scooters, Ball Games etc. are not allowed on this show ground.
18. Spectators with Umbrellas, Prams / Push Chairs / Buggies etc. must take extreme care and keep them well away from the Horses / Ponies.
19. Dogs must be kept on leads.
