The Sprenger KK weymouth is a very versatile bit, and especially suitable for introducing your horse to a Weymouth bit, or for horses with a sensitive mouth. This Sprenger weymouth helps to improve mouthing of the bit and relaxation of the jaw and in turn the horses submissiveness, also helping to improve the contact from the riders hand to the horses mouth. This Sprenger KK weymouth is a very gentle bit, as the mouthpiece is shaped to the anatomy of the horses mouth. However, because the pressure is evenly distributed on the horses tongue, it is also a very effective bit to encourage the horse to work correctly and accept the contact willingly. The port is angled forward by 30 degrees to aid tongue relief. The mouthpiece is made from Aurigan, a copper based material that oxidises to produce a pleasant and distinctive taste that horses love, and encourages a soft relaxed jaw, wet mouth and quick acceptance of this Sprenger bit. The University of Hanover has proven through a long term study that Aurigan, containing silicon and being nickle free, combines the oxidation advantages of copper but with maximum strength and durability.
Patented Aurigan mouthpiece combines copper and silicon for a mouthpiece that provides strength and oxidises quickly to produce a pleasant taste horses love
