Class 1                    BEGINNERS

Entry fee: £15

Course height: X-country and show jumping: 2’ – 2’3” approx.

Dressage test: Walk and Trot A

Class 2                    NOVICE

Entry fee: £20

Course height: X-country and show jumping 2’ 3” – 2’ 6” approx.

Class 3                    INTERMEDIATE

Course height: X-country and Show jumping 2’9” – 3’ approx.

Dressage test: Prelim 14

Class 4                    OPEN

Entry fee: £25

Course height: X-country and Show jumping: 3’ 6” max

Dressage test: Novice 25

Prizes:                   1st  - £25, 2nd - £20, 3rd - £15    -    Rosettes to 6th

 

After completing your dressage test you will have 20 minutes to change saddles / tack if required, and warming up before starting your cross country section, which is held over both fixed and portable fences on grass, with four seconds added for each fence knocked down, a refusal automatically adds time but three refusals will incur elimination. The show jumping phase (all weather arena) will start when all competitors have completed the cross country phase, with four seconds added for each fence knocked down, with three refusals incurring elimination. There will be approximately twelve cross country style fences and eight show jumps.

CONDITIONS

1. Competitors will be eliminated if the wrong fence is jumped. The judge’s decision is final.

2. Save for death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the organiser or anyone for whom they are in law responsible, neither the organiser of any event to which these rules apply, nor British Eventing, nor any agent, employee or representative of these bodies accepts any liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horse, owners, riders, spectators, land, cars, their contents and accessories or any other person or property whatsoever, whether caused by their negligence, breach of contract or in any other way whatsoever.

3. The organiser has the right to cancel any class or event; to divide any class, to alter the course if necessary and to refuse any entry.

4. The organiser of this event has taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety or everyone present. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the organiser and all officials and stewards.

5. Any objections must be made to the secretary, in writing, and accompanied by a deposit of £10 which is returnable if the objection is sustained.

6. No dogs on the showground.

7. In the event of cancellation, refunds will be made after deduction of expenses.

8. Jackets, sweater or cross-country colours may be worn.

9. Crash hats with chin straps secured, or hard hats, to be worn at all times when mounted. It is recommended that effective body protection be worn.

10. Hacking jackets may be worn instead of a dark jacket for dressage and show jumping.

11.Prize monies will be paid down the line according to entries. 5 starters – 1st prize monies, 10 starters – to second place etc.

Please do not tie horses or haynets up to your lorry or trailer and also use the litter bins provided.
